Project Portfolio
Ventura County Government – Oxnard/Ventura, CA

Scope |
Develop and install a 497 kW DC rooftop solar project at the GSA and County Administration buildings, each with different roof system types, including providing financing for the project under a Power Purchase Agreement. The County awarded the contract to Solar Power Integrators, which then teamed with the financing partner to move the project forward and complete construction |
Complexity |
Involved working over an active building open to the public that is the County’s main point of contact with its citizens; the parking lot where the project was staged was very busy with families and children, and safety was a key element of performance. |

GSA - Senator Simon Federal Building – Carbondale, IL

Scope |
Turn-key design/build re-roof and 100kW photovoltaic system at the Senator Paul Simon Federal Building in Carbondale, Illinois. With the design phase completed; construction began on this project in the spring of 2010 and was completed in mid-November. A new single ply cool roof with polycrystalline solar panels was installed; contracted through the United States General Services Administration. |
Complexity |
The 100 kW turn-key solar roof top project was on a challenging 30+ degree sloped roof. |

USS Arizona Memorial Visitor’s Center Replacement – Honolulu, HI
(Sub to Watts Constructors for NAVFAC)

Scope |
Turnkey design-build construction of a 50kW DC on the roof of the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center in Honolulu, HI; provide four design options for two types of thin film. The Solyndra™ option was ultimately selected and installed. |
Complexity |
The site is a high-profile location, and the photovoltaic installation had to be wind-rated for tropical weather conditions; the project was part of a large-scale project at the site, and the Solyndra technology, which installs in both series and parallel, requires familiarity with the product, which Solar Power Integrators possesses. |

Awarded Projects in Process
Mono Lake Visitors Center, California
Scope |
The US Department of Agriculture has awarded to Solar Power Integrators a 32 kW DC parking lot solar array. The system, which includes parking lot shade structures with polysilicon photovoltaic modules mounted on top of them, will offset much of the electrical use of the facility. Solar Power Integrators will contract directly with USDA for the project. |
Complexity |
The shade structure will behind the main visitor center and will be designed for a height that accommodates the USDA heavy duty equipment and for snow load that affects the area during winter months. |
